I’m Katelyn! Studying pre-nursing at Louisiana State University. First-semester freshman.
I don’t have a particular hobby per se, but I love being outside, with people, and having fun! I’m a true kid at heart, so I enjoy Disney moves and arts and crafts projects…I have an addiction to Pinterest.
My primary fitness goal is weight loss. But by doing so, I need to build muscle in the process. My workouts usually consist of some sort of cardio (elliptical, treadmill, dancing, zumba, swimming) and weight tranining. i absolutely adore the gym i go to. it’s an all-female facility, really clean, and most of the people are very nice! And recently my gym just started this Body Barre class that really works on toning the legs and butt. I’m in love with it!
As far as diet goes, I don’t like to restrict what I eat, but I do count my calories using an app called Lose It! on my iPhone, but I think they have a website that you can do basically the same thing the app does. This app creates a daily calorie budget for me. I insert my food intake and my exercise output, and it tells me if I’m over my daily calorie limit. Knowing how many calories I’m actually putting into my body is very helpful.
I make sure I eat fruits and vegetables, and that I drink PLENTY of water like it’s my job.
Personally, I am not anorexic or bulimic, but I do want to reach out to those who are. And if you are, I want you to know that I love you, and you don’t have to do those things to your body :)
The most important thing I think to remember is that you’re beautiful, no matter what anyone says. But if you have the willpower to change your body for the better in a healthy manner, then there should be nothing stopping you.
